STORAGE TIPS

When can I move in?

If there is a storage space available that meets your specific storage needs, you can move in anytime during normal access hours.

How much notice needs to be given before I move out?

All contracts are month-to-month. However, we do require advance notice when moving out. Inquire with our staff to ensure you are following the correct move out instructions.

What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a space?

We require a government-issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, state ID, or passport).

Do I need to sign a long-term lease?

No, we rent on a month-to-month basis unless the customer requests otherwise. We do offer prepayment discounts that are often the best value for your dollar if you plan on storing long term.

How do I make a payment?

Our website www.storagexperts.net is designed for customers to easily pay their rent online at their convenience. However, our customers are also welcome to pay in person, by phone, and mail a check or money order, or at our 24/7 Kiosks available at select locations. You may also sign up for monthly automatic payments which will be deducted from your credit or debit card.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, and cash.

Do you sell boxes and storage supplies?

Yes. We sell a vast variety of moving supplies in our front office at competitive prices.

How do I know how much storage space I will need?

Our Storage Calculator featured on our website gives customers a great visual idea of what storage space is the right fit for you. For further assistance, do not hesitate to call our helpful and knowledgeable staff for their recommendation.

Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials and perishables are never permitted. We urge all customers to please contact us if you have any questions or concerns whether or not your item can be legally stored.

Does there have to be someone in the office to let me through the security gates?

No. At the time of signing your lease, you will be given your own unique security pass code that will allow you access to your unit during normal access hours.

Am I required to purchase insurance for my storage unit?

While insurance is a requirement for your lease, if your homeowners, renters, or business liability insurance will cover your items, you are welcome to submit your declaration page to your file. If you do not currently have insurance, we offer competitive rates with no deductible through Storsmart Insurance.
